Tesla Wall Connector and Home Charging Options We Install
Which charger makes sense depends on what you drive and whether guests or a second EV need to plug in too.
Tesla Wall Connector
Charges up to 44 miles of range per hour at up to 48 amps. Wi-Fi enabled with usage monitoring in the Tesla app. Best for Tesla-only households. Starting at $1,500 installed.
Tesla Universal Wall Connector
Same 48 amp Level 2 charging with a built-in J1772 adapter, so it works for Teslas and nearly every other EV brand. A 24 foot cable covers most garage and driveway layouts. Starting at $1,800 installed.
Panel Evaluation and Upgrade
A 48 amp charging circuit is a meaningful new load. We check your main panel's available capacity before quoting and include a service upgrade if your panel needs one. Contact us for an exact quote.
Installation
Hardwired, Permitted, and Inspected the Right Way
We hardwire every Wall Connector rather than running it off a plug-in adapter, which is both more reliable and what most Florida jurisdictions expect for a permanent 48 amp circuit. Our electricians pull the permit, run dedicated wiring from your panel, and schedule the county inspection.
For garages and driveways where conduit runs are long or the panel is on the opposite side of the house, we plan the route during the site visit so the quote reflects the real job, not a generic average.
- Dedicated 48 amp circuit sized to your electrical service
- Permit and county inspection handled by our office
- Licensed under Florida electrical license EC13013993

Beyond single home installs, we work with property owners who want to offer charging to tenants, guests or the public.

| Tesla V4 Supercharger | Retail centers, gas stations, restaurants | Up to 500 kW per post, scalable from 4 posts, full turnkey site build |
Commercial projects include site survey, ROI analysis, permitting, engineering, installation and commissioning.
Process
How a Coastal Energy EV Charger Install Runs
01
Free Assessment
On-site or virtual review of your panel, garage layout and vehicle to recommend the right charger and circuit size.
02
Permit and Utility Coordination
We file the electrical permit and coordinate with your utility if a service upgrade is part of the scope.
03
Hardwired Installation
Most residential installs are completed in a single visit once the panel has available capacity.
04
Testing and Walkthrough
We test the circuit under load, confirm charging speed, and set up the Tesla app or manufacturer app with you.
Pair with solar
Charging an EV from Your Own Solar Array
A lot of our EV charger customers are also solar customers, since charging overnight off the grid still costs money while charging off a paid-for solar array does not. If you already have panels or a Powerwall, we can wire the charger to work with your system's monitoring so you can see how much of your driving is solar powered.
If you are sizing solar and a charger at the same time, we account for the added electric vehicle load when designing your array so the system is not undersized once the car is plugged in every night.
