Many Original Tesla Solar Roof Installs in Florida Were Done Poorly
We have inspected Solar Roof systems around the state where the original install left leaks around flashing and valleys, mismatched tile courses, or wiring and Gateway configurations that make troubleshooting a production drop harder than it should be. If your roof was installed by a crew that is no longer taking your calls, or you are simply not confident in how the system was set up, an inspection is the right first step.
Coastal Energy is Tesla Certified for Solar Roof. We service systems we did not originally install as well as our own work, and we maintain our own licensed roofing and electrical crews under license CCC1335978, so leak repair and tile replacement are handled in house rather than farmed out.

Tesla Is Discontinuing New Solar Roof Orders at the End of 2026
Tesla has announced it is winding down new Solar Roof orders by the end of 2026. We still install Solar Roof for homeowners who want it while it remains available, but the order window is closing.
For homeowners who already have a Solar Roof, this does not change service and support. Existing systems still need inspection, leak repair, tile replacement and monitoring, and Coastal Energy continues to provide that work regardless of who did the original install.
For homeowners planning a new roof going forward, we recommend a metal or tile roof paired with low profile solar panels. That combination has no discontinuation risk, is typically less expensive, and we install and service it the same way, in house.

What to Expect from a Service Call

Schedule a Diagnostic
We schedule a visit starting at $350, which includes travel within 30 miles of our Fort Myers office and the first 30 minutes on site.

Inspection
We inspect roof tiles, flashing, wiring, the inverter and the Gateway to identify the source of leaks, faults or monitoring problems.

Scope and Quote
We provide a written scope and quote for any repair or tile replacement needed, since these are priced per project.

Repair
Our in-house licensed roofing and electrical crews complete the repair, working from the tile and wiring stock we keep on hand.

Ongoing Care
Homeowners who want continued monitoring and priority scheduling can enroll in a Coastal Care Plan after the repair is complete.
Our roofing position

Outside of Solar Roof, Coastal Energy installs metal and tile roofing only. We do not install shingle roofs. For homeowners whose Solar Roof needs are more than a repair can solve, or who are deciding what to do next given the 2026 discontinuation, a metal or tile roof plus solar panels is the long term supported path.
