A Solar Workmanship Warranty Built for Florida Homes
Coastal Energy includes Solar Insure protection with eligible new solar and battery installations. Depending on the system, coverage may be provided through an SI-30 Solar, SI-30 Battery or SI-30 Total plan. The plan is designed to help cover qualifying parts and labor costs for covered equipment failures over a 30 year term.
Solar Insure is a third-party protection plan, not an unlimited guarantee. The written plan documents determine eligibility, covered components, claim limits, exclusions and required procedures. Review the plan that applies to your proposal before installation.
At a glance
How Your Transferable Solar Warranty Works
The protection adds another layer beyond the equipment manufacturer's warranty while keeping each type of coverage clearly defined.
30 Year Parts and Labor
Eligible solar panels, inverters and battery systems receive parts and labor protection for covered failures under the applicable Solar Insure plan.
Manufacturer Warranties Remain
Panel, inverter and battery manufacturer warranties remain separate. Tesla Powerwall, for example, carries its own 10 year equipment warranty.
Transferable Solar Warranty
This transferable solar warranty can move to a new homeowner when the property is sold, subject to the applicable plan terms and transfer requirements, which can help resale value.
Licensed Florida Installer
Coastal Energy holds Florida roofing license CCC1335978, electrical license EC13013993 and HVAC license CAC1816094.
Roof protection
What Roof Penetration Protection Means
Solar Insure roof protection is narrow and specific. On an eligible covered installation, it may cover resealing and reflashing within 3 inches of a solar attachment point according to the plan terms. It does not provide general roof replacement coverage or protect unrelated roofing areas.
Roofing-only projects remain covered by Coastal Energy's separate 5 year roofing workmanship warranty and applicable manufacturer material warranties. Solar Insure does not replace those roofing terms.
Important limits
Coverage Is Subject to Written Plan Terms
The following are common examples of circumstances that may not be covered. The applicable plan documents control every claim.
Weather and External Events
Storm, wind, hail, lightning, surge and other external damage may be excluded and may instead belong under homeowners insurance.
Unauthorized Changes
Unauthorized modifications, removals or repairs can affect coverage.
Wear and Connectivity
Normal wear and certain Wi-Fi, cellular, communications or monitoring accessories may be excluded or carry different terms.
No Production Guarantee
The plan does not guarantee a specific energy production level, electric bill reduction or financial savings.

Solar Insure offers different protection products for solar-only, battery-only and combined solar-plus-battery installations. Your proposal and plan documents identify the protection applicable to your project.

Ongoing care
Maintenance and Service Are Separate
The Coastal Care Plan provides ongoing monitoring, inspections, cleaning options and priority service. It is separate from Solar Insure and is not required to receive a covered benefit under the applicable Solar Insure plan unless the written plan states otherwise.
Repair work on existing systems follows the applicable manufacturer warranty, quoted service scope or maintenance plan. The 30 year Solar Insure message applies only to eligible new installations enrolled in an applicable plan.
