The Call

What to Expect From Your Virtual Consultation

This is an initial assessment with an Energy Advisor. It is designed to make getting help easy, especially when your original installer is no longer available.

Tell Us What You Are Seeing

Explain the production change, app alert, battery concern or unanswered question that led you to schedule the call.

Review Available Information

Share monitoring screens, error messages, equipment details or documents that can help your Advisor understand the system.

Try Initial Troubleshooting

Your Advisor can walk through appropriate basic checks and determine whether the issue may be resolved remotely.

Leave With a Clear Next Step

We will tell you whether to keep monitoring, schedule a $750 Solar System Evaluation, request a repair quote or consider Coastal Care for ongoing support.

Preparation

What to Have Ready Before Your Call

Bring whatever you have. Missing paperwork should never stop you from asking for help.

Monitoring Screenshots

Screenshots from the Tesla, Enphase, SolarEdge or other monitoring app can show when production or communication changed.

Error Messages

Write down or photograph any inverter, gateway or battery alerts so your Energy Advisor can review the exact wording.

Equipment and Installer Details

Share the equipment brands and original installer if known. It is fine if the installer closed or you inherited the system with the home.

Any Available Documents

Plans, permits, proposals and warranty records help, but the Solar System Evaluation can proceed even when original documents are missing.

After the Call

When the Next Step Requires an Onsite Evaluation

A virtual consultation is for initial assessment and troubleshooting. If the cause cannot be confirmed remotely, your Advisor may recommend the $750 Solar System Evaluation. It includes an onsite inspection, production and monitoring review, battery health assessment when applicable and written findings.

Standard evaluation pricing covers residential systems up to 30 panels and two batteries within 30 miles of a Coastal Energy service location. Repairs, replacement parts and corrective work are quoted separately and approved before work begins.

What Happens When I Book a Call?

A Coastal Energy Advisor, not an outsourced call center. Your Advisor will review the concern, available monitoring details and possible next steps with you.
